Tailored Communication for Tech Leaders
How tech leaders make their message land with non-technical audiences without diluting the vision: ethical storytelling woven with data, and answering 'why should I care' first.
Leaders must balance tailored communication with ethical considerations and authenticity. This is particularly important in the tech industry and becomes a must when interacting with people that do not have a technical background.
It demands more than superficial adaptation. It demands truly grasping where your audience’s understanding and focus are, and the vision you want to carry.
How can your messages resonate deeply without diluting your vision as a leader?
For me, two key elements:
First, ethical and engaging storytelling woven with relevant data that supports every aspect of the message: the goal, capabilities, risks, and the immediate actions needed.
Second, why should your audience care. What is in it for them, the reasons why they should engage and think about your message.
This generates meaningful and effective feedback, fostering trust and impact.
